Centre for Agriculture and Rural Development had started ACABC Training Program in April-2008 at Indira Nagar, Lucknow. The program has never looked back after its starting. There is no downfall. CARD has made presentations to several organizations in this regard showing the total number of trained candidates, venture established and findings of the micro researches that were done during the training program for the candidates, agribusiness option, and success rates etc.
From FY 2015- 16 to 2019-20 CARD has completed 17 training batches in total and trained 572 candidates. Hundreds of farming, contract farming, nursery, vermicomposting, apiculture, integrated unit ventures have been successfully established by these trained candidates. Most of these trainee were linked with the banks for loans and the trainees has been able to initiate enterprise with the support of the banking institution. Geographically trainees benefitted are in the states of UP, Delhi and Rajasthan.
CARD is going to expand its ACABC all across the India cells in upcoming years to train more rural youth and help them in starting new ventures in Agriculture and allied sectors to empower Indian Agriculture.
